Well, let me tell you. I have noticed a small lick of oil in the main seal of Plata. The main seal is a very difficult and labor intensive seal. It takes, in some cases several days to replace it. I noticed the lick in Provo UT on a Saturday but because I did not want to spend more day in Provo I decided to check the seal at the dealer in Santa Fe NM.
I arrived Santa Fe on Friday early in the morning. To my surprise, the sale representative of BMW motorcycle was from Argentina (Alejo Gonzalez) and the service manager did not spare a minute and rush to find me a mechanic parts to fix the bike. Unfortunately the only mechanic available with the best experience on this kind of problems was in Sadina BMW in Albuquerque NM.
Once I arrived to Sadina BMW they received me ready to go, they have the mechanic and all parts ready. It took no time to have my bike a part.
While they were checking my guaranty, they noticed I hade 38.000 miles and “normally” in USA they warranty expired at 35.000 miles. !!!! Eh! we are Canadians....Canada has the UNLIMITED warranty so .... hands on to the repairs ! :)
I am very happy how I been treated at Sadina BMW, it remind me to the dealer in Victoria !
In addition, the Argentinean guy back in Santa Fe leaves in Albuquerque and he offer me to stay in his place until the bike is repair....I hope the bike will be done by noon Tomorrow.
