Lima is a city of 8 million people. My travelling companion's bike had broken and we needed to find a KTM shop. We decided to hire a taxi to lead us to the shop. The driving in Lima is possibly the worst in the world. They do not respect anything, not even our big bikes. It was bad.
I became angry with the taxi driver because he was weaving between the traffic and we were unable to keep up on our bikes. I yelled at the taxi driver twice. We had already paid him for the fare and I was so mad when he travelled through red lights, something which we would not do on our bikes. I really ranted. It took us almost 2 hours to cross the city, that is how bad the traffic was. Insane.
We arrived at an apartment that the three guys had already arranged. It was good because I could wash and dry my clothes in machines. My clothes really needed a thorough washing.
We had dinner in a nice place. It was a huge contrast to be in a good neighbourhood compared to the insane traffic of the city. My travelling companions treated me for dinner which was nice since I am running low on funds.
