I was glad to leave Medellin. Medellin was one of the better cities I have seen so far but I did not want to spend more time there. At this point in time, there were 8 motorcycles. 2 took off that day early in the morning and I was in the second group of 3 BMWs. From Medellin we arrived in Salento. Salento is in the centre of the coffee triangle of Colombia. The ride was very slow for many reasons. The highway was twisted, the traffic, and the rthym of our three bikes was slow. I was not used to group riding. When I arrived at Salento I did not regret going there. It is a colonial town, very quiet, with a spectacular view. Every house was colonial with no modern influence...yet the town was very safe and quiet. We had a nice dinner with Judy and Johannes, Melissa and Kris. After dinner, I walked around the town alone and realized I needed to keep moving. I decided to leave early the next morning alone. It was harder to say goodbye to this group of people because I felt that I belonged with them and I will miss them.
