Iquite to San Pedro de Atacama

A very cool and interesting day today. Just outside Iquite I stopped at an abandonned salt factory. I met a man selling crafts outside the site and it was very intersting talking to him. He claiemd to be outside the system as selling was prohibited. He spoke to me about the history of the factory where his father worked. He also explained the background of the woodcrafts he was selling in his store and said he was more interested in the person rather than the customer. The items I purchased were only $4.00
Arriving in San Pedro de Atacama I met Luca from Madrid, a chef. We hooked up and shared a room. He bought his motorcyle in Urugay, and is riding up South America. That evening we rode to Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley) where we saw the sunset. The valley is famous for its similarity to the moon. Its formation is caused by salt and environmental factors.
By conicendence I met Ric and Emily from Great Britain. We had initially met in Campeche.
