Glaciar Perito Moreno and the Family

My sister rented some cabins in El Calafate where the entire family celebrated New Years. This added another 700 kms to the trip.
After celebrating New Years we went to Glaciar Perito Moreno, the word's third largest reserve of fresh water comprising of 250 square kms. I must say it is a phenomenal view and probably one of the top spectacular scenes of my trip.
Every 20 minutes there is a thundering sound as the ice begins to break and every 40 minutes chunks of ice fall into the ocean. It is awesome to both hear and feel the power of nature.
Pantagonia is extremely large. 3,000 km to reach the Glaciar Perito Moreno but it was worth the distance to see the glacier. Do not be misled by my words - the emptiness of this distance can "kill you".
As a bonus of a visit, we saw an Andean Condor flying within a short distance from where we were standing. The wing span of the bird is amazing. I think he was showing off for the public as he glided in the air currents.
